ROWE RACING enters its eighth year with BMW M Motorsport

Two BMW M4 GT3 to start the two 24 hour classics again in 2023 / Title ambitions in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup

St. Ingbert, 8th December 2022 – ROWE RACING is focussing on continuity as it enters its eighth year together with BMW M Motorsport: Under the motto “same procedure as last year”, the team from St. Ingbert will again field two BMW M4 GT3 at the two 24 hour endurance classics at the Nürburgring and Spa in 2023. As well as podiums in the “Green Hell” and the Belgian Ardennes, ROWE RACING also has its sights set on winning the title in the five race Endurance Cup within GT World Challenge Europe. The driver line ups for both programmes will be announced at a later date.

After two early retirements from the first 24 hour outing with the new BMW M4 GT3 in May of this year, team principal Hans Peter Naundorf and his outfit are determined to be in contention for victory at the very end of the 51st staging of the ADAC 24h Nürburgring on 20th/21st May 2023. In qualifying on the front row of the grid, the BMW M4 GT3 already demonstrated its great potential. Over the course of the year, the completely newly developed race car added the reliability required to succeed on the endurance circuit. Both cars ran like clockwork at the 24 Hours of Spa at the end of July, leading the race for more laps than any other car before eventually only missing out on a possible victory due to a puncture in the final hours of the race. This year, the 24 Hours of Spa takes place for the 75th time – four weeks earlier than usual, on 1st/2nd July 2023.

ROWE RACING kicks off the 2023 season with round one of the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) on 18th March. Starts at NLS rounds two and three on 1st April and 15th April round off the team’s preparations for the ADAC 24h Nürburgring. The GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup gets underway on 23rd April in Monza, Italy, and continues on 3rd June with the traditional 1,000 kilometre race in Le Castellet, in the south of France. After the 24 Hours of Spa, it is back to the Grand Prix layout of the Nürburgring for the team’s “home race” on 30th July, before the season draws to a close with another three-hour race on 1st October on the outskirts of the Catalonian metropolis of Barcelona.

Hans-Peter Naundorf, Team Principal ROWE RACING: “We are very proud and happy to be able to launch another assault on our two favourite races – the 24 hour classics at the Nürburgring and in Spa – together with our long-term partner BMW M Motorsport again in the coming season. I am confident that we will be able to exploit the full potential of the BMW M4 GT3 in the car’s second season, and that we will be back challenging for victory at these iconic racetracks. We will also be targeting the Endurance title in the GT World Challenge Europe in 2023. These are the expectations of ROWE RACING and BMW M Motorsport, and what we work towards every day.”
